Chinese White and Russet Jade 'Magnolia' Vase
Carved in openwork with a central magnolia blossom forming the receptacle of the vase and issuing from a winding stem bearing smaller buds and leaves, set behind peony blossoms borne on leafy branches issuing from rockwork, amongst a rooster and spray of lingzhi, below a butterfly, two birds and a small caterpillar picked out from an apple green inclusion, the stone an even tone with large areas of caramel brown, fitted wood stand. Height of stone 8 inches.
