On October 18, 2016, Doyle held an auction of Coins, Bank Notes, Postage Stamps and Minerals. The sale featured United States and World coins, bank notes, and stamps, including many rarities. United States material in the sale comprised a wide assortment from early coins and bank notes and Territorial examples through the 20th century.

The top lot went to a United States 1901 Morgan Dollar that more than doubled its estimate of $8,000-10,000, fetching an exceptional $22,800. The coin attracted strong competition drawn by its grade of Mint State 63.

With competitive bidding in the salesroom, on the telephones and on the Internet, the sale totaled a strong $365,573, just surpassing its estimate of $271,000-365,100, with an impressive 90% sold by lot and 97% sold by value.
