Paris: F. Buisson, 1806. First edition. Three volumes, later half brown morocco over marbled boards, the top edge gilt. 8 1/4 x 5 1/4 inches (21.5 x 14 cm); with map and 3 plans (all folding), half-titles, 358; 469; 362 pp. Explorers Club bookplate to pastedown and blindstamps to title, map and occasional text leaves, early ink ownership signatures, map with some foxing and a tape repair to verso, some wear to joints.
The scarce first French edition of Depons's voyage to South America, with the folding map and plan of Caracas. Palau 70507; Sabin 19641.
