Art Deco Platinum, Diamond and Emerald Brooch
Topped by one old-mine cut pear-shaped diamond approximately 2.48 cts., edged by scrolled ribbons and fancy-shaped diamonds, flanked by curved pierced bombe bands, centering one old-mine cut marquise-shaped diamond approximately 1.77 cts., flanked by 2 old-mine pear-shaped diamonds approximately 2.75 cts., accented by bands of 16 rectangular, square and fancy-shaped emeralds, suspending a three strand fringe set with baguette and fancy-shaped diamonds, totaling 116 round and single-cut diamonds approximately 2.65 cts., and 31 baguette and rectangular-cut diamonds approximately 5.00 cts., tipped by 3 flexibly-set pear-shaped diamonds approximately 3.65 cts., circa 1925, approximately 18.5 dwts.

The 2.48 cts. and 1.77 cts. diamonds have been weighed.

2.48 Pear-shaped diamond: K-L-SI2-I1, strong blue fluorescence, gletz by girdle at 4:00, large open culet, high crown angles, small chip near point, brilliant..

1.77 marquise-shaped diamond: H-I-SI, faint blue fluorescence, large open culet, high crown angles, nice shape, brilliant.

2 pear-shaped diamonds: K-L-VS, face up whiter, no fluorescence, large open culets, high crown angles, brilliant.

3 pear-shaped diamonds: F-G-H-SI-I1, reflecting black inclusions, medium large chip at right edge of stone on left side, at 5:00, large open culets, high crown angles, brilliant.

Baguette and fancy-cut diamonds: G-H-I-VS-SI, one trapezoid K-L.
Round diamonds: G-H-I-VS, several SI.

Emeralds: bright medium deep vivid green, moderately included, minor scratches, abrasions and nicks, big chip on top edge of left band of emeralds, slightly visible to eye, very lively.

Good condition. Very well-made. 3 3/4 x 1 9/16 inches.
