Tiffany Studios Gilt-Bronze and Favrile Glass Linenfold Lamp
First quarter of the 20th century
The paneled shade in frosted amber colored glass, stamped TIFFANY STUDIOS NEW YORK 1952, on a tapering paneled columnar standard ending in a domed octagonal foot, conforming cap, the base stamped TIFFANY STUDIOS NEW YORK 560. Height overall 27 1/2 inches, height of shade 9 3/4 inches, diameter 20 inches.

Shade: small diagonal crack to one of the corners of the larger central linenfold panels, vertical crack to one of the lower horizontal linenfold bands and chips to the outer side of this segment, shallow flake chip to one of the upper horizontal glass segments, otherwise the other glass segments appear to be in generally good condition, the coloration to the glass is consistent, ie: no apparent evidence of restoration or replacement, extensive wear and dulling to gilding; lamp base: extensive wear and dulling to the gilding, the top side of the base is extremely worn and dull and now has a green appearance, two of the light sockets have been replaced as have their on/off switches, the upper third of the standard is slightly bent, the circular ring mount that supports the shade is not presently sitting straight and leans consequently the shade has a slightly tilted appearance; the cap: the screw that would secure the cap to the standard has broken off, consequently, the cap is loose, slight undulation, there are numerous shallow flake losses to each of the glass segments, notably around the inner band, extensive wear and dulling to the gilding, finial maybe pushed in and is not straight
