plaque: appears to be in generally good condition; it was examined out of the frame and there does not appear to be any noteworthy condition issues to any of the corners, no hairline cracks, no overpaint to the reverse side, etc.; the plaque is stamped with the scepter symbol and KPM and the letter W; it is also stamped with two sets of numerals: 565 (?) and 415; tag affixed to the front of frame titled PSYCHE AM MER NACH KRAY; the rear side of the plaque is not glazed; two light superficial short scratch marks located on the painted surface near the bottom edge; the upper right corner is a bright sky blue color with white clouds, however, the rest of the painted plaque surface that surrounds Psyche is dark brown in tone and consequently the mountain backdrop and lakeside water is not immediately apparent; may benefit form a surface cleaning; Frame: large area of loss to the top rear edge of the molding; wear and dulling to gilding; other losses to frame; areas of restoration and overpaint to the gilding and molding; frame size: 29 1/2 x 25 1/2; frame appears to be old
