. Venice: Girolamo Albrizzi, 1723. Sixth and final Italian edition. Bound in original paste-paper wrappers, preserved in a hansome recent half morocco green box. 12 7/8 x 8 3/4 inches (32.5 x 22 cm); [4], 55, [1], 20 pp., illustrated with 9 full-page engravings (2 have text on verso, 1 with text on recto), and 3 small in-text engravings. Spine worn, binding and margins soiled, but a very good copy in original, unsophisticated condition.
A scarce volume reflecting the strong influence of French landscape gardening in Italy during the age of the Baroque: it contains Italian translations of portions of Rene Dahuron's Nouveau traite de la taille des arbres fruitiers (pub. 1696) and of Jean de La Quintinie's Instruction pour les jardins fruitiers (1690).
