The wood Buddha seated on a lotus throne before a pierced flaming mandorla, the interior doors painted with guardians against a gold ground, exterior case black lacquer with bronze fittings. Height 7 5/8 inches.

Missing part of its metal headdress. A section missing from the mandorla behind head. Overall wear to gilding on interior. Exterior lacquer with areas of wear and small chips. Top with crack to lacquer.
