The arched and pierced crest with a foliate finial above a tracery carved back and padded seat, raised on chamfered squared legs ending in casters, bears a modern typed and handwritten paper label inscribed Pair of Chairs by A. Roux, New York, NY, from 'Loudoun' by A. J. Davis for F. K. Hunt, Lexington, Ky. 1921 sold by Goodloe family, chairs taken at that time to Denver, Colorado. House decorated by Davis and Platt. Piece of original fabric. Height 43 1/4 inches.
