Contains an 1819 circular on the Erie Canal and numerous pamphlets on events such as the debate over the expansion of slavery, the Kansas question, Civil War issues; also includes numerous works on presidents and statesmen including Van Buren, Lincoln, Grant, Garfield, Henry Clay, Jefferson Davis, Charles Sumner, John C. Fremont and others. Moderate wear including dampstaining, soiling, tears, losses, and detached pages; sold with all faults.
