Photographically illustrated. 14 1/8 x 10 1/8 inches (36.5 x 27.5 cm); 126 pp. . With "Captions" leaf laid in along with a booklet from a later exhibition where Bresson signed this copy. Boards slightly bowed with large chip to head of spine, a few ink spots on verso of front free endpaper from inscription, jacket worn with losses at head and foot of spine and outer corner of upper panel, split cleanly along one spine fold, spine darkened, a few pieces present.
Rarely encountered signed, Bresson has charmingly inscribed on the title page: "a Anne Shanahan/ tres cordialement/ Henri C+B=?". Bresson has further inserted in manuscript "Teriade" into the publisher's imprint. 101 Books, pp. 134-35; Parr and Badger The Photobook: A History, p. 208.
