Tiffany Studios Bronze and Leaded Favrile Glass Arrowroot Lamp
Designed by Clara Driscoll, late 19th/early 20th century
The conical shade in semi-translucent and opaque shades of green, blue, white and yellow, decorated with repeating bands of arrowroot leaves and blossoms and a geometric band at the top and bottom rim, supported by a ring-shaped mount continuing to an oil font canister standard of tapering circular form, decorated with dense upright elongated leaves in bas relief, on a shaped circular foot comprised of overlapping lily pads issuing two water lilies, including one upright with a blossom well, unsigned. Height 23 1/4 inches, diameter of shade 20 1/2 inches.

Shade appears to be in very good condition; no apparent cracks to the large arrow root segments; few small segments elsewhere on the shade with cracks, most noticeably around the top rim area; base has a mottled chocolate brown and green patina; the base has an open blossom as part of its sculptural design, which may originally have held an insert of some kind, now lacking
