Regency Part Ebonized Mahogany Breakfront Bookcase
First quarter of the 19th century
In two parts, the rectangular upper section enclosing four arched glazed and mullioned cupboard doors opening to shelves, above the lower section with a deep drawer fitted for writing flanked by two drawers, over four paneled cupboard doors outlined with Gothic tracery opening to sliding shelves, raised on a plinth. Height 8 feet 2 inches (2.49 m), width 10 feet 2 inches (3.10 m), depth 23 inches (58.4 cm).
