[AFRICAN AMERICAN] Group of fourteen quarter-plate tintypes of African Americans,
, most about 3 3/4 x 4 1/2 inches (100 x 605 mm). Four of the portraits are of women, one is of an infant; the remainder are male. A fifteenth tintype is present, an apparently unrelated view of a building. Some corners clipped from case mounting, surface defects (mostly minor), but a most attractive and unusual group.
