Pair of Minton Pate-Sur-Pate Porcelain Urns

Each mounted as a three-light lamp, in the Louis XVI style, with scrolling handles and domed covers, decorated with a male and female teaching cupid how to fly, the other side with cupid captive or free to take flight, in white cameo bas relief against a slate blue ground, painted wood square base. Height 18 1/2 inches.

each of the urns has been restored and overpainted at the base (above the foot and ankle area); one urn has also been extensively restored and gold overpainted in the area near the top rim edge and slightly lower; each cover has had its finial removed and mounted onto a rod; each cover is slightly smaller in diameter than the rim diameter of the urn that it comes into contact with; each urn is signed L. Solon; not blacklighted
