Queen Anne Walnut Bonnet Top High Chest
Salem, Massachusetts, circa 1760
In two parts, the upper section with molded swan's neck crest and three urn and flame finials, above a case with fan carved central drawer and two thumbmolded small drawers and four graduated long drawers, all flanked by reeded pilasters, resting on a lower section with a molded edge, over one long and three small drawers, the central drawer with fan carving and a valanced skirt with two acorn drops, raised on cabriole legs ending in pad feet. Height 7 feet 4 inches, width 43 1/2 inches, depth 22 inches.
