Lace Pattern Open Robe and Petticoat
French, circa 1750
The robe a la Francaise of changeante lavender lace pattern silk, with pastel pink, green and ivory flowers, woven with silver metallic accents, long double sleeve ruffles, silver metallic trim with fly fringe at sleeves, self petticoat, made-up satin stomacher, later period lace at sleeves.
Good condition, possible alteration or losses at bodice front, losses to metallic threads, minor splits to silk at shoulder, small repairs under arms.
