Of baluster form, the lower section with lobed cartouches enameled with shaded varicolored stylized floral sprays on pink, pale blue, dark blue, pale green, dark green, and red grounds, within twisted ropework borders, the upper section enameled with shaded varicolored flowers and stylized foliage on a cream ground, all below a twisted ropework rim, the shaped handles with conforming decoration, the underside with an engraved dedication inscription: Doctor and Mrs. Polk / to / Doctor and Mrs. Hamlen / 21st November 1904. Height 5 1/4 inches (13.3 cm).
