Two volumes, the facsimile bound in morocco with silver clasps on morocco thongs (a binding suggested by Mirjam Foot) housed in a cloth-bound hinged slipcase edged in morocco, the commentary volume in dark brown morocco to match, presented in a cloth slipcase. 8 1/4 x 6 1/4 inches (20.5 x 16 cm); the facsimile 948 pp., the commentary 256 pp. Light rubbing to the spine of the commentary volume, the wear on the facsimile volume somewhat more pronounced.
An exceptional facsimile, preserving the pricking of the original manuscript, holes in the vellum, etc., with hand-applied gold leaf on the illuminated pages.
