The canvas is unlined. There are areas of craquelure scattered throughout. There is frame rubbing with associated wear along the edges. There is a raised area of canvas in the center of the right vertical edge, with a pinhead-sized loss. Under UV light inspection, minor retouching is visible along the edges. The floral pattern in the skirt of the standing figure in the center fluoresces brightly; these lines were possibly strengthened. In the lower left quadrant, there is a faint, uneven mark running vertically in the sand below the chairs, though this mark does not appear to be an abrasion or sign of wear. Overall, the work presents well.
