Estate / Collection: Estate of Leonard C. Hanna, Jr.
Paul Storr, London, 1813
Each shaped circular wiht gadrooned border. Diameter 10 1/2 inches (26.5 cm), total approximately 149 ounces.
The baron's coronet and crest are for Thomas Manners-Sutton (1756-1842), 1st Baron Manners. He was a member of the Manners family and grandson of John Manners, 3rd Duke of Rutland. In 1814, Thomas' first wife died, and he married Jane Butler, daughter of James Butler, 9th Baron Cahir. These soup bowls were probably part of their wedding silver service.
