Rectangular, the Mother of God and Christ Child depicted half-length, the reverse applied with a Mosgostorg label, no. 5359, and Hammer Galleries exhibition label, dated August 2-31, 1937. Height 14 1/8 inches (35.9 cm.), width 12 inches (30.5 cm).

Panel bowed; age crack to center; losses to painting and gesso in areas. Areas of wear to surface from oklad (now lost). The reverse with areas of worming and losses. No inpainting indicated under UV light.
