George III Inlaid Satinwood and Mahogany Bookcase Cabinet
Circa 1780
In two parts, the upper section with molded serpentine cornice above a pair of conforming glazed doors opening to shelves, the projecting lower section with a pair of oval-inlaid doors and raised on a molded plinth. Height 88 1/2 inches (224.8 cm), width 44 inches (111.8 cm), depth 15 inches (38.1 cm).

Good restored condition, glazed panels to doors appear to be original, lifting and separations to veneers commensurate with age, small area to front surface of left door above upper hinge with later veneer, minor loss to veneer bottom left side of left door, shrinkage cracks to veneers of sides with some lifting, shrinkage cracks to tops of panels to bottom doors, old marks and scratches, scuffs to plinth.
