Twelve Glass Lily Shades: the shades are very similar yet some are slightly mismatched; one shade is too badly damaged at the mounting area to be used on the lamp but is present; one of the shades cannot be removed without significant risk of breakage because it has been pushed too far back over the electric light socket sleeve; accordingly, the shade could not be carefully examined for signature or condition, including examining the fitter rim, however, the shade (visible part) appears to be in good, undamaged condition; one shade has a large loss to its mounting rim area but can still mounted into place and used; one shade has some small chips to it fitter rim; another shade has a very small chip loss on its fitter rim, not of any real consequence; one shade has a small burst air bubble on the surface, in the making, not of great consequence; no hairline cracks were observed to the eleven usable shades
Bronze Base: the patina is uniformly dark chocolate brown colored; one of the six small screws that secures the baseplate to the bottom of the lamp is missing; one of the petaled prongs that helps to conceal each electric light socket is very close to breaking off; the other petaled prongs on the other stems appear to be in generally good condition (no losses); the plastic sleeves around the light sockets appear to be later replacements; the petaled prong mount that is on the stem that has the lily shade that cannot be removed is currently hanging and cannot be secured at the join area like the other stems (it may require a solder repair); the lamp has been rewired; the wiring, on/off switch, and light sockets were not tested

Auction: DOYLE+Design, Featuring the Collection of Whitney Robinson & Marc Karimzadeh, Jun 9, 2026
NEW YORK, NY -- Doyle's highly-anticipated Doyle+Design auction on June 9, 2026 saw competitive bidding drive outstanding results and a sale total that surpassed expectations. This popular sale category showcases a wide range of Modern and Contemporary furniture, art and design by prominent designers, makers and artists of the 20th and 21st centuries.
Tiffany Studios "Floral Bouquet" Chandelier
Highlighting the auction was a Tiffany Studios bronze and leaded glass "Floral Bouquet" chandelier, circa 1910, that more than doubled its $50,000-70,000 estimate, achieving an impressive $171,950 amid heavy telephone bidding. Property from a New Jersey Private Collection, the cone-shaped chandelier featured a continuous floral motif transitioning from lighter-toned blossoms on one side to richer, darker flowers on the other. This tonal gradation created a dynamic visual effect, animating the surface as the fixture is viewed from different angles.
Alexander Calder Lamp
From a Berkshires, Massachusetts, Collector came a rare circa 1940 Lamp by Alexander Calder that realized $76,700, surpassing its $50,000–70,000 estimate. Rather than concealing its construction, the lamp openly reveals its mechanics in a striking modernist form, blurring the boundaries between sculpture and utility. A rare example from Calder’s small body of functional household objects, the work reflects the artist’s engineering background and enduring fascination with structure, balance and the expressive possibilities of industrial materials.
The Collection of Whitney Robinson & Marc Karimzadeh
A special section of the sale showcased a second offering of stylish furniture, design and art from The Collection of Whitney Robinson & Marc Karimzadeh. In 2023, Doyle presented the first offering from the collection of former design editor and real estate developer and global brand consultant Whitney Robinson and CFDA Editorial and Communications Director Marc Karimzadeh.
