Noted journalist Eduardo de Acevedo was well-known for his coverage of prominent artists such as Wifredo Lam, Rene Portocarrero, Amelia Pelaez and many others. Coming to America in 1945, de Acevedo became a citizen in 1957. De Acevedo's writings, primarily for The Week in Cuba, documented the Modern Art movement exploding in Cuba during the 1940's. His collection represents the close friendships he maintained with many of the artists who came to represent Cuba's Modern Art movement.

Sheet is laid to a thick cardboard. The reverse of the cardboard shows evidence of non-archival materials and residue of rust from old pinning nails. Sheet is cut unevenly. Pigments appear strong and vibrant with no evidence of damage or loss.
