The later rectangular top above a foliate-carved frieze with curled leaves above a pierced shell-carved apron and raised on acanthus-carved cabriole legs ending in paw feet. Height 29 3/4 inches (75.7 cm), width 41 1/2 inches (105.5 cm), depth 20 inches (50.9 cm).
Formerly with a wooden top, screw holes to sides, old marks and scratches, losses to carved elements of top edges of frame where rubbed by marble top, legs lighter in color than frieze, rubbing to carving, central shell possibly once with lower element suspended from back (see screw hole), scuffs to feet.
