With previous restorations, losses and inpainting to japanned and gilt decoration throughout, although the case is late 17th century, the japanned and gilt decoration is later, cabinet and giltwood stand do not appear to be associated, doors with age cracks to doors and sides and along lines of construction underneath, handles to interior drawers appear to be original, stand re-gilt with chips and losses.
