In two parts, the upper section with arched mirrored doors opening to pigeonholes above prospect doors and slides flanked by folio slides over concave-fronted drawers, the lower section with slant front fitted with a bookrest and opening to an interior fitted with a writing panel, sliding panel opening to a well, valenced pigeonholes, drawers and secret drawers, all over two short over two long drawers and raised on bun feet. Height 6 feet 11 inches (210.9 cm), width 40 3/4 inches (103.7 cm), depth 22 3/4 inches (57.8 cm).

Good restored condition and with later varnish, japanned and gilt decoration with overpainting and enhancements throughout, mirror plates with oxidation, crystalization and losses to silvering, old marks and scratches, minor losses to later decoration, craquelure and traces of original decoration underneath, feet possibly original and with woodworm.
