Oval with bombé sides, on a spreading foot, the sides with handles cast and chased as bear heads, the bowl enameled with shaded varicolored flowers, foliage and pine cones on red and green grounds, the interior engraved with a monogram, further scratched with an inventory number. Width across handles 5 3/4 inches (14.6 cm).
