A two-page autograph letter signed "Noel Coward/Author of 'Calvalcade'" on the recto and verso of one folded sheet of stationery, 7 x 5 inches (18 x 13 cm), retains original envelope in Coward's hand. Fine; Together with a small framed signed photograph of Coward, 5 x 3 1/2 inches.
Coward here writes to "Darling Ferber" about the casting of her play The Royal Family, a parody of the Barrymores, which he was then producing in London. He continues: "Owing to my having passed hilariously through the Valley of the Shadow the whole blooming thing has been postponed a month, but I am itching to get at it because I love it very much indeed. Also I love you very much indeed-so let's rise above everything." A fine association.
