[PLAT ATLAS-NEW YORK]
Certified Copies of Original Maps of Property in New York City, Filed in the Register's Office and elsewhere.
bound with Map of New York Common Lands as Surveyed and Laid Out in the Year 1786 by Casimer Th. Georck... Hoboken: Spielmann & Brush, 1881. Three-quarters leather over cloth (N.B. lacking spine). 25 1/2 x 18 inches (65 x 46 cm); 12 pp. text including title-page, 101 hand-colored maps on 186 pp. (one side of the leaf only), these lithographed on thin Japan tissue mounted on guards, 12 pp. text at end (this likely incomplete; we show copies with 16 terminal pp.). Very worn, lacking spine, covers holding on tape, covers badly affected by damp. Internally a few maps starting to detach, some edge wear, however the staining noted on the boards not penetrating the maps to any significant or offensive degree (primarily here and there at the extreme edges), some adhesion between the guards noted but this does not impact the maps themselves. Sold not subject to return.

Spielman and Brush advertise themselves in these pages as civil engineers of Newark Street, Hoboken New Jersey.
