NEW YORK, NY — Doyle’s jewelry auctions have delivered standout results this year, underscoring the continued strength of the international jewelry market. Demand for quality colored gemstones, in particular, remains exceptionally strong, and our recent auctions featured outstanding examples from prominent collections and estates across the country. Attracting competitive bidding from around the world, the October 20–22, 2025 sales of Important Jewelry, Fine Jewelry and Jewelry Online far surpassed expectations, achieving a combined total that topped $9.9 million.

Colombian Emerald Ring – $483,100
Highlighting the Important Jewelry sale was a dazzling Colombian emerald ring that soared over its $50,000-70,000 estimate to achieve a stunning $483,100. Property from the Estate of Julie Greenough of Katonah, New York, the ring was set with a 5.94 carat ‘Classic Colombian’ emerald – a rating reserved for emeralds of the highest quality – displaying superb color and only Traditional Insignificant clarity enhancement.

Boucheron Paris Ruby and Diamond Bracelet - $330,700
Featured were over thirty lots of exquisite jewelry from the Collection of an Orange County Philanthropic Family, most notably an elegant ruby and diamond bracelet by Boucheron Paris that captivated bidders. Totaling more than 30.32 carats of Burma rubies, the circa 1965 bracelet more than doubled its $100,000-150,000 estimate, realizing a breathtaking $330,700.

Sapphire and Diamond Ring - $349,750
Sapphire and Diamond Earclips - $292,600

Another outstanding lot from the Collection of an Orange County Philanthropic Family was a sapphire and diamond ring that realized an impressive $349,750, far exceeding its $100,000-150,000 estimate. The ring was set with a large Ceylon sapphire weighing 19.59 carats of exceptional color, with no evidence of heat or clarity enhancement. From the same Collection was a pair of sapphire and diamond earclips set with sapphires of Ceylon origin totaling 14.02 carats that sold for $292,600, many times their estimate of $30,000-50,000.

Fancy Colored Diamond Pendant - $279,900
Fancy colored diamonds also found favor at the auction, most notably a pendant set with a Fancy Intense Orangy Pink diamond weighing 2.54 carats, VS2 clarity. Determined bidders drove the pendant far over its $50,000-70,000 estimate to realize $279,900.
