NEW YORK, NY -- Doyle will hold an auction of Coins, Stamps, Bank Notes & Political Ephemera on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 10am. Collectors and enthusiasts will find a wide range of U.S. and World numismatics, philatelics and other rarities from collections in the New York area and other regions of the country. Add to an existing collection or begin a new one!
The sale begins with a thrilling group of Political Buttons, from Lincoln through to Eisenhower, replete with ferrotypes, back-to-backs pinbacks, ribbons and more. Also in the Collectibles section are a Wayne Gretsky 1992 All-Star Game Jersey and a Masonic 33rd Degree medal.
Philatelic items include a Very Fine example of the First Ten Cents issue of 1847 tied on envelope by red grid cancel, a valuable United States collection with multiple example of Columbians, Marshall $5, Zeppelins ranging from Mint Never Hinged to Unused. an extensive collection of United Nations with scarce imperforate and printing errors, and unusual and hard to find postal history items.
World coins offer a useful selection of gold items including Austria 1912 10 Corona lot of ten coins, a rare Albania 1927 100 Franga, French 20 Francs Napoleons, Hungary 1907 100 Korona Anniversary Proof, Italy 1923 100 Lire KM #65, and an intriguing gold Vatican Papal medal of 2004.
The selection of United States coins presents another offering of high-grade Morgan dollars and gold values including a Near Mint 1907 High Relief $20 St. Gaudens, along with quantities of Liberty Head and St. Gauden values, rounded out by some popular Collections and Proof groups.
A highlight of the sale is an 1894 $5 National Old Second National Bank of Bay City Michigan.
