NEW YORK, NY -- Doyle is honored to auction a group of jewelry from the estate of acclaimed jewelry designer Linda Lee Johnson (1944-2018) as a featured section of the Fine Jewelry sale on February 20, 2019 at 10am.
A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, Johnson embarked upon a career in acting and was a founding member of the Berkeley Repertory Theatre. She later moved to the east coast, where she had a successful career on the New York stage and in regional theater.
An accomplished sculptor, Johnson studied jewelry making in the 1980s, and her creations were initially sold by Tiffany & Co. In 1989, she partnered with Barney’s and introduced the store’s first jewelry collection.
Jewelry from the Estate of Linda Lee Johnson reflects the sculptural quality and tactile finish that are the hallmarks of her designs. Her collection comprises lots 756 through 810 in the auction.
