From Journal of the Royal Geographical Society of London, vol. 34, 1864. Contemporary purple cloth, gilt leather spine label. [6] pp. of text [pp. 82-87 of journal]; folding map with color in outline. Edges of cloth browned, wear to spine label, lower cover rubbed with half-inch chip, pale spot to map, binders ticket to rear pastedown.
Hind, an English-born Canadian geologist and explorer, recounts his exploration up the Moisie River, describing the landscape, flora and fauna, and native tribes of the region.
