[DAGUERREOTYPE-PORTRAIT] Two sixth-plate portrait daguerreotypes, both signed.
Comprising [Young woman sitting]. Philadelphia: [Marcus Aurelius] Root's Gallery, likely 1845-50. Housed in a molded leather case with the velvet stamped "Root's/Gallery/140/Chestnut St./Philada". Mild oxidation but generally in sound shape, case cover detached but present; Together with [Young man]. Albany?: [Christopher] Schoonmaker, circa 1855. Housed in a molded leather case with the mat stamped "Over the Post Office. Schoonmaker" A generally bright image.
The latter address does not seem to be recorded for the artist.
