Additional Notes & Condition Report

the on/off switch is a later metal replacement; there is extensive wear and dulling to the original patina on the bronze lamp base; for example, the top side of the base has an almost black colored patina whereas the "ring" carry handle and arms on the harp are worn; there are also scratch and scuff marks to the patina on the base; the lamp retains three ball screws, however, it seems that one of these may be a later replacement (slight difference to the patina and also it is somewhat longer); Shade: there is a somewhat large-size flake loss/chip to the fitter rim of the shade (partially visible in one of the photos); there are also a few other small chips to the fitter rim; there are numerous small pinhead-size internally trapped air bubbles in the glass, at the surface, however, these are not burst, except for one or two, and these are all in the making; no apparent hairline cracks to the glass or rim chips along the bottom edge; the lamp is currently wired, however, the cord is beginning to fray and probably should be replaced; the lamp has not been tested to see if it is currently in working condition, however, it is assumed to be in working condition; the metal light socket mount is slightly loose
