Folding map, color plates. Lacks spine, rarely seen. Howes F119; Sabin 24295; and [KIRKWOOD, JAMES P.] The Brooklyn Water Works and Sewers: A Descriptive Memoir. New York: Van Nostrand, 1867. First edition. Original gilt stamped green morocco. 60 lithographed maps and plates by J. Bien (many folding), an additional large folding map of the Water Works dated 1859 laid-in. The binding heavily rubbed, internally fine.
