Chinese Painted and Gilt Wood Figure of a Seated Official
Qing Dynasty
The figure shown seated on a square dias in an armchair with dragon head armrests, wearing long robes and a cap, his right hand cupped as if to hold a scroll, his left hand resting on his right thigh, the robes decorated in gilt, red, black and blue pigments with dense, intricate floral scrolls. Height overall 15 1/2 inches.
