[MEXICAN WAR] NEBEL, CARL. Bombardment of Vera Cruz.
[New York: 1851.] Lithographed by Adolphe Jean-Baptiste Bayot after a painting by Nebel. Hand-colored lithograph on card heightened with gum arabic. Image 10 7/8 x 16 1/2 inches (27.8 x 43 cm); sheet 16 1/4 x 21 3/4 inches (41.5 x 55.5 cm). Some very light marginal thumbsoiling and spots.
A very clean example of Nebel's view of the Battle of Veracruz, published in Kendall's The War Between the United States and Mexico Illustrated.
