American Gothic Revival Oak Library Armchair
Attributed to John and Joseph W. Meeks, New York, circa 1850
The pointed arch back with a rosette and quatrefoils, padded arms and seat, on spiral turned legs. Height 59 inches.

2 tight cracks to rim of rose window; a few cracks to other parts of back typical with age; small old dent to 1 handhold; some wear to sides of hand holdes; frame a little loose; inserted braces to back of arch-possibly in the making, some wear to finial edges; wear to feet; generally overall good condition.
