Antique Gold and Micromosaic Brooch
The large rectangular brooch of stylized key-fret motif, centering a micromosaic depicting four birds atop a bird bath, with black tesserae background, atop a green table, edged by a red, blue, white and yellow micromosaic decorative pattern, framed by rope-twist gold, with pendant circle link, circa 1870, several tesserae missing, approximately 52 dwts. gross.

Chip at bottom left corner, slightly visible to eye. Several hairline cracks along edge.

Some tarnish along edge of gold frame.

Overall good condition, very nice micromosaic work. 2 1/4 x 3 1/8 inches.
