Todd Sell

Senior Vice President / Appraiser, Silver, Furniture & Decorations

Todd Sell is a silver specialist and a general appraiser of works of art and furniture at Doyle New York, and a Vice President in the firm.  He works directly with Doyle New York’s Trusts & Estates Department and coordinates and catalogues the popular Doyle At Home auctions.
 
With almost twenty years in the business, Mr. Sell started his career in the Trust and Estates Department of Christie’s Toronto before moving to New York to head the Silver Department at Christie’s East. After seven years, Mr. Sell joined one of the world’s largest silver and Asian art galleries in New York City, where he spent over ten years assisting private clients in building their collections, as well as working with international auction houses and dealers in buying and selling silver, Asian and European works of art. In addition, Mr. Sell appraised collections for private individuals, which allowed him to work closely with clients across the United States.
 
An active member of the New York Silver Society, Mr. Sell was also a founding member of the Canadian Silver Society. He holds a degree in History from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada.
